GRAPES: Monastrell + 10% field blend

TASTING NOTES: Fresh, focused and stony, with plum and bramble fruit and undertones of clove and white pepper.

PAIRS WITH: Pairs best with beef, pasta, lamb or game.

SERVE ME: Medium bodied red so room temperature-ish. 

Stratum Wines is a project of Bodega Cerrón. In 2011, the 4th generation of the family of viticulturists began to recover the “Plant Heritage” of the town of Fuente Álamo, valuing those historic vineyards of local varieties and planted in free standing, which had been abandoned. Certified both organic and biodynamic. ‘Matas’ is slang for ‘bush’ in the region – in other words – old vines planted.
