Well, if you’re Kendall Jenner, you secretly work with partners to source premium Spirit, bottle it up and send it to a few competitions in secret under a mysterious company name registered in Delaware — K and Soda LLC. Then, when you get some positive reviews and even win a medal or two, you turn it loose on the world as 818 Tequila. And we can see from the trademark filings that they have additional beverages on the way.

All three 818 Tequilas has won a medal or two. And that’s impressive. But the Resposado is, by far, the biggest winner of the bunch. It’s got all the Gold and Platinum Medals you could hope for… it even has a “Chairman’s Trophy.” But the one that gets the most attention was being named “Best Reposado Tequila” in 2020 at the World Tequila Awards.

To make 818 Reposado Tequila, 100% pure Weber Blue agave is harvested by hand, roasted, fermented for days, and double-distilled. Although not mentioned on the label, our sources tell us that it’s produced at the La Cofradia Distillery located in the town of Tequila. Then the Spirit is aged up to one year in oak.
