Cascahuin Tequila Reposado
The Cascahuin Tequila Reposado is an excellent example of an excellent tequila from Mexico. Made from 100% Agave tequilana Weber (Azul – cultivated agave) and cooked in a brick oven with steam, the raw material is crushed in a roller mill before arriving in open masonry and stainless steel tanks for fermentation (2900 & 11500 L). The distillation process consists of a first distillation in stainless steel and copper pot still (1900 liters) and a second distillation in copper pot still (350 liters).
Master distiller Salvador Rosales Trejo is the man behind the extraordinary taste experience of Cascahuin Tequila Reposado. After distillation, the tequila is stored in American white oak for six months, giving the reposado its characteristic color and subtle oak notes.
On the nose, the tequila exudes a ripe agave scent with light notes of oak barrels. A creamy taste of agave and oak opens up on the palate, which is accompanied by a pleasant peppery spiciness. The finish is warm and lingering, which is the perfect finish to enjoying this exceptional tequila.
