Jefferson’s Straight Bourbon (750Ml)

Jefferson’s Straight Bourbon was first crafted by Trey and Chet Zoeller in 1997. Jefferson’s Straight Bourbon that is mixed with 4 types of Kentucky Straight Bourbons. Jefferson’s Straight Bourbon has 82.3 Proof and 41.15% ABV. Jefferson’s has a light gold color and is has a very rich flavor. Jefferson’s uses 4 bourbons which one is roughly 55% and blended to form every small batch. Mixing 4 different bourbons ensure to get a complex and balanced consistency with every sip.

The bourbons range in age from 8-12 years and are stored in and aged in new charred American oak barrels. Jefferson’s Straight Bourbon Whiskey seems to be a popular bourbon with good reviews. Those reviews did state that as far as alcohol is concerned, this is a fairly light experience, even though the liquid itself is full-bodied and syrupy. I became curious and eventually purchased a bottle for $30.00.

The bourbon is a striking deep orange color in the bottle, and I can tell from swirling it around that it’s pretty vicious.I smell corn, vanilla, light char, and citrus upon opening the bottle. This falls in line with what I’d picture given that Jefferson’s Straight Bourbon as the bottle indicates) has been allowed to age in barrels with only a very light char. The result is intended to be a flavorful beverage that is easy to drink.
