Milagro’s signature Weber blue agave nectar rest for up to forty-five days in oak for an elevated experience.
Milagro Tequila was founded by Danny Schneeweiss and Moy Guindi in 1998. They only use 100% local Jalisco blue agave which they slow-roast for 36 hours. And uniquely, they distill in both a pot and column still, then blend the results — which are awesome — to achieve greater complexity. So when you see the stylish marketing and contemporary styles, don’t be fooled. For these guys, Tequila is serious business and they are creating a line of truly great Tequilas that have won serious awards. Still growing at double-digits, in 2020 owner William Grant & Sons purchased a distillery in Mexico to serve as a dedicated supplier.
Milagro Select Barrel Reserve Silver is a step above Blanco Tequilas. Sure, it is carefully crafted from 100% Weber blue agave just like its siblings. But it has been rested in American and French oak for up to forty-five days, allowing the Spirit to gently mellow. Cheaper Blanco just can not compete with that. Through this process it becomes a nearly clear sipping Tequila. Proof of its superiority is easy — it took home the Gold Medal in 2020 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Smartass Corner:
Milagro means “miracle” in Spanish and reflects the magic transformation of agave plants into natural spirits.
Tequila Milagro has recently changed its designs, and as the original labels are being phased out, there is still a chance that you might receive a bottle different than what is in the picture. Rest assured, the liquid remains the same, regardless of the design.
