The first 12 years of this whisky’s life is spent aging in Ex Bourbon Casks with the next 9 months then resting in ex Sherry Casks. This is ultimately an extremely mellow whisky with layers of honey, nutty fruit and light spice.

Balvenie remains unique in its growing its own Barley as it has done since its inception in 1893. David Stewart MBE started working for the House back in 1962 meaning that he has amassed some 40 years worth of invaluable knowledge and expertise and remains at the head of the helm overseeing the creation of their range of delightful whiskies.
